Course Description

Process Control Laboratory is where the transfer functions meet real equipment that does not behave the way the model says. Students tune controllers on physical processes — typically level, flow, temperature and pressure loops — and learn that identification, noise and valve behaviour matter as much as the mathematics.

Most chemical engineers never license: process plants fall under the industrial exemption. ⚠ The Florida exceptions are environmental and water engineering consulting, where work is sealed for public clients.
